Dental and Vision Coverage

As a DU student*, you have the opportunity to enroll in a dental insurance plan through Delta Dental and/or a vision insurance through Delta Vision in partnership with VSP.  This is is separate coverage, cost, and management from the DU Student Health Insurance Plan (SHIP).

***Enrollment for 2025-26 is now OPEN***

A few notes for both Delta plans:

  • If you were enrolled in either/both plans in 2024-25, you do NOT need to re-enroll. Delta continues your plans (even after you leave DU!) until you contact them directly to cancel.
  • You can enroll in both the dental and vision, OR in dental only or vision only.
  • You must be a DU student to enroll initially (no coverage for family members), but can continue the coverage after you leave DU.
  • Once you make that decision, you cannot add/change coverage until the next open enrollment period.
  • Off-term (non-fall) enrollment is only available to new students beginning at DU in other terms, or if you have a qualifying loss of other coverage. Contact the HCC for details.
  • As the DU HCC does not offer dental or vision care, you will need to use your benefits at off-campus, community providers. Use the plan website below to explore "in network" options.

Please review Plan details below.

TO ENROLL: Complete the form below, and submit it before the applicable enrollment deadline date (below).

  • Dental and/or Vision Plan enrollment form 2025-26 (web form)
  • You will indicate your choice of one/both plan on the single form.
  • The form will ask for your banking information because Delta processes all payments directly. (The HCC confirms all eligibility and enrollment; but is not involved in payments.) All information shared via forms below is protected by double encryption and health privacy protections.
  • Once the annual Fall Open Enrollment Periods (below) end, only new DU students or those with qualifying loss of other coverage are eligible to enroll. Contact the HCC for more information.

TO CANCEL either/both coverages, you must contact Delta of Colorado’s Individual Admin team directly at individual@ddpco.com  If you cancel, you will not be able to re-enroll until the next fall open period, and must still be a DU student to do so.

*DU students in completely online and non-degree programs are not eligible to enroll in SHIP/Delta plans, or to receive services at the HCC.
