We're here to help you thrive. As the central students' division at DU, Student Affairs & Inclusive Excellence is committed to ensuring each student at the University has the opportunity to take advantage of everything our community has to offer, from recreation and socialization to care and support. Each student at DU is encouraged to find their own path toward becoming an empowered citizen who can use their passions to positively impact their communities, and we make certain you have everything you need to navigate that path.
Campus Inclusion & Community
We are determined to give our students the opportunity to develop knowledge, behaviors and skills that will prepare them to live, work, collaborate and communicate across differences in backgrounds, experiences and perspectives. We are also committed to ensuring every member of our community, regardless of background or experience, has all the resources and support necessary to flourish as a member of the DU community. At the heart of this effort are six key groups: Access & Transitions, the Cultural Center, Disability Services Program (DSP), Inclusion & Equity Education, the Learning Effectiveness Program and Veterans Services.
The Heart of Campus
Our brand-new, state-of-the-art Community Commons (Commons) has become the new heart of the DU campus, a place where you can find extensive opportunities to connect and collaborate with fellow members of the DU community. The Commons serves as a hub of student activity, with an expansive selection of dining options, social community spaces and reservable meeting rooms and event spaces. The Commons is also home to many of our student services. You'll find the Commons to be a crucial center of student life, a beacon of community illuminating our campus.
What's Happening Around Campus
From performances and panels to job fairs and professional development opportunities, you'll find that there's always something exciting happening on DU's bustling campus.
4D
DU has adopted a model of education and engagement that we call the 4D Experience, which prepares you to build your own future while championing the public good. We empower resilient, driven students in an intentional, co-curricular environment, connecting your specific passions and purpose to your DU experience as a whole.
Student Affairs' role in this process centers around two specific goals: Exploring Character and Promoting Well-Being. You'll work to intentionally develop skills that prepare you to communicate across differences in background, perspective and experience as you explore and reflect on your own character. At the same time, we work to ensure you have the opportunity to learn the skills and behaviors that will help you achieve and maintain social, emotional, physical, financial and spiritual wellness.
