What I do
As a Graduate Student Trainee at the HCC, I am inspired by working with clients toward growth, empowerment, and improved functioning in meaningful life pursuits. I take an integrative, client-centered, and culturally-informed approach to therapy. My approach is characterized by empathic attunement to the experience of my clients and authenticity in the therapeutic relationship. Some of my areas of professional interest include anxiety, trauma/PTSD, post-traumatic growth, health psychology, sport and performance psychology, and military psychology.
I grew up in the Portland, Oregon area. I really enjoyed playing tennis and getting up to the mountains, and still do. Working out, hiking, and staying connected with friends and family are things I have valued over the years.
Professional Biography
After graduating from the master’s in sport and performance psychology program at the University of Denver, I worked for several years as a performance psychology practitioner with U.S. military Service Members and their families, enhancing performance and building resilience through a holistic approach. My doctoral-level clinical practicum experiences have included integrated primary care at a hospital setting, a residential substance use treatment facility, the Colorado National Guard, DU’s Sturm Center for military psychology, and at the Professional Psychology Clinic at DU.
