Professional Biography
I am a multilingual Swiss Chilean citizen with a background in Educational Sciences, Psycho-Educational Approaches and Disability Studies. Through my various professional positions, I have supported diverse populations including children, teenagers and adults with disabilities, as well as LGBTIQ+ youth in distress. I also wrote a thesis on the challenges faced by first-generation immigrants in their social integration into their host society. At the University of Geneva, I contributed to initiatives promoting a more inclusive university environment, solidifying my commitment to creating accessible academic spaces. I have also developed programs aimed, for instance, at analyzing and improving communication and recruiting methods to make institutions more inclusive and accessible.
I moved to Denver from Geneva, Switzerland to pursue a PhD in Higher Education at DU. I am passionate about advocating for student needs and positive student experience. My goal is to create a safe and inclusive environment where every member of the community feels respected, considered and valued.
