What I do
I work from a decolonizing perspective to understand individual and systemic challenges and how these influence our relationships with ourselves, others, and the world. I see people as experts in their own experiences and healing, and I value close collaboration in the therapeutic relationship. I often use an integrative approach, combining humanistic techniques and behavioral therapies (e.g., schema therapy, ACT, DBT) with the arts (e.g., music, art, creative writing, literature) to help individuals increase awareness and develop skills to navigate the challenges they face.
Professional Biography
I am a second-year doctoral student in clinical psychology here at the University of Denver. I have received my clinical training thus far in outpatient community mental health and private practice settings, where I have worked with individuals and families across the lifespan. Additionally, I have worked with children, adolescents, and young adults in performance-based and academic settings.
