Doctoral Intern 2025-26

Pronouns: She/Her/Hers

What I do

Broadly, in prior clinical work, clients and I have focused on managing depression, seeking joy, navigating familial conflict, identity exploration, diving into what people value, and how these values align (and conflicts) with their daily lives. More specifically, four pillars feel central to my developing expertise 1) working with queer and transgender populations, 2) facilitating and co-facilitating group therapy, 3) taking a harm reduction approach to alcohol, cannabis, nicotine, and psychedelic use, and 4) navigating emotions and behaviors amidst ecological grief and ecological hope.

I'm passionate about an ecological way of living, which includes but isn't limited to developing a sense of place, noticing seasonal changes, and feeling safety and nourishment from one's human and non-human relations. Also, hiking and a great sandwich.

Professional Biography

As a Doctoral Intern at DU, I am currently working on my final (sometimes called pre-doctoral) internship before I graduate from Iowa State in May 2026.

My early research and clinical training focused on secondary data analysis and using a harm reduction approach to alcohol and cannabis use for college students. More recently, I am focused on getting people connected to their definitions of community and dismantling built environments that keep people apart.
