Doctoral Intern 2025-26

Pronouns: She/Her/Hers

What I do

As a therapist, I view individuals from a holistic lens considering the whole person, their cultural background, developmental history, family system, interpersonal relationships, and the societal factors within their environment. Additionally, I strongly believe in the value of helping individuals build self-efficacy and foster awareness in the intricate connection between the human mind and body. In my clinical work, I like to combine psychodynamic psychotherapy with mindfulness, mind-body techniques, internal family systems therapy, and cognitive and behavioral therapies (i.e., ACT, DBT, CBT). I offer therapy in both English and Farsi, depending on need and availability.

Professional Biography

I have experience working with individuals across the lifespan in various clinical settings including university counseling centers, intensive outpatient/partial hospitalization programs, and inpatient psychiatric hospitals. As a psychology intern at DU, I look forward to joining the journey of those dealing with challenging circumstances due to immigration, cultural factors, life transitions, family dynamics, interpersonal difficulties, or those experiencing symptoms of depression, anxiety, post-traumatic stress, ADHD, substance misuse, addictions, suicide ideation, and sleep and eating disorders.
