Get ready to kick off the academic year! Move-In Day at DU is not just a moment, it's an experience. We hope you are as excited as we are to welcome our students, parents, and families to campus! Each year we send specific details about move-in day with our residents. However, below is general information that will help you know what to expect as you arrive on campus.
You have a 30-minute arrival window to check in and unload your belongings. You can move in starting at your designated time slot or any time after. After parking in your designated short-term unloading spot, proceed to the building to check in and then return to your vehicle to unload your belongings. There will be a limited number of carts available to help you quickly move your items from your vehicle and into the building.
Due to limited staffing at our front desks, we cannot accept any mail or packages before move-in dayand ask that all students plan accordingly. HRE is not responsible for any misplaced, damaged, or lost packages. Additionally, there may be a delay between packages arriving and notifications to students due to volume.
Download the RTD MyRide App College College Pass! Eligible students have access to free RTD bus and train services through the RTD MyRide CollegePass. RTD MyRide works on all regular bus and train services. This includes a convenient light rail stop near Centennial Halls that goes downtown and to Denver's International Airport.
Note: When signing up for the app, make sure you create the QR code. If the code isn’t created the ID office can’t issue the pass. If you don’t have a smartphone, email pcard@du.edu and they will be able to help you get access to a myRide card.
