Juniors, seniors, graduate students, commuting students, or those who have otherwise been released from their two-year live-on requirement are not required to have a meal plan.
Unused meal plan blocks do not carry over to the next quarter, but unused meal plan cash is carried over to the next quarter. Meal plans also do not carry over into the summer.
Students can conveniently request a meal plan change through their Housing Portal. This must occur by the first Thursday of every academic quarter. Dates for the academic year, including the deadline to request a meal plan change, can be found on our Important Dates.
