Fraternity & Sorority Housing
Living in a Fraternity or Sorority Facility
DU offers members of certain fraternities and sororities the chance to live in a chapter facility with other members of the same organization. While Fraternity & Sorority Life staff work with all DU fraternities and sororities, nine have a relationship to DU Housing. The facilities of four of them are DU owned and/or operated, and the facilities of five are privately owned and/or operated.
Is your fraternity or sorority on one of these lists? Read on to learn more about your responsibilities, contacts, and billing.
DU Owned / Operated Facilities
These four chapter facilities are DU-owned and/or operated:
- Delta Delta Delta
- Delta Zeta
- Lambda Chi Alpha
- Zeta Beta Tau
If you choose to live in one of these properties, you will be subject to the same Guide to Residence Living and sign a housing contract similar to that of students who live in DU residence halls and apartments.
Each FSL property sets its own rates for different rooms and room types.
DU-owned and/or operated facilities communicate these rates to DU Housing. These rates are entered into your student account in the same way that a residence hall room charge is.
Residence Hall Grant
Only students living in Lambda Chi Alpha are eligible for the Residence Hall Grant.
Privately Owned / Operated Facilities
Five facilities are privately owned and/or operated. They are not managed by DU. Reach out to these primary points of contact for further information:
- Beta Theta Pi
- Chi Omega
- Delta Gamma
- Gamma Phi Beta
- Pi Kappa Phi
DU plays no active role in managing these properties. However, if you are subject to the second year of the two-year live-on requirement, you may request to be released to live in one of them.
DU does not handle billing or financial components for any of these properties. All are considered off-campus housing.
