What I do

I have a generalist social work background with specific interests in areas of: trauma, LGBTQIA+ specific support needs (identity exploration and development, intersection of identity and trauma), intimate partner violence, sexual assault, stalking, depression, anxiety, relationship concerns, self-esteem, life transitions, and animal assisted social work. I believe in working on and advocating at all levels of practice - individual, community and policy – to address issues of power and privilege and effect change. My approach is trauma-informed, strength-based, collaborative, and systems focused. I am trained in basic EMDR for the treatment of trauma related symptoms, Cognitive Processing Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, and Trauma Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy.

Personal Interests: As a proud introvert, I enjoy spending time reading, cooking, and being outside alone to recharge. I also enjoy spending quality time with friends and family over delicious food and conversation, traveling, and being on any body of water. I find all the above to be even more enjoyable with my dog, Mac.
