What I do
My areas of interest include working with clients who are navigating periods of change and transition, experiencing anxiety or depression, exploring racial and cultural identity, and addressing concerns related to sport psychology. I believe that therapy is most effective when grounded in a collaborative and authentic therapeutic relationship. I work alongside clients to identify their strengths while encouraging meaningful growth through thoughtful self-reflection and gradual challenges outside of their comfort zones. My therapeutic approach is informed primarily by psychodynamic and cognitive behavioral (CBT) orientations. I tailor treatment to each client's unique experiences, values, and goals to foster a supportive, culturally responsive, and empowering therapeutic environment.
Professional Biography
I am a third-year doctoral student in the Doctor of Psychology (PsyD) program at the University of Denver. My clinical training has provided me with experience across a variety of settings, including the Metropolitan State University of Denver Counseling Center, residential treatment, and integrated care. In addition to my general clinical training, I have had the opportunity to work with athletes in improving their mental-well being ranging from youth competitors (beginning around age 9) to professional athletes across a variety of sports. My therapeutic approach is rooted in authenticity, curiosity, and collaboration. I value creating a therapeutic relationship in which clients feel understood, empowered, and supported as they work toward meaningful change.
