DACA and Undocumented Students
DACA and Undocumented students are supported through the office of Access and Transitions. Students and their families receive support in navigating the institution while providing mentorship and academic resources to ensure their success, both while at DU and post-graduation. Students will become part of a close-knit and supportive community with other incoming students in Access and Transitions programs.
Financial Aid & Admissions
The Student Assistance Fund provides limited financial assistance to currently enrolled University of Denver students who are unable to meet immediate, essential expenses because of temporary hardship related to an unexpected situation. The fund is designated to off-set a short-term financial need and is not intended to replace or supplement financial aid. Therefore, long term needs can be addressed by meeting with a Student Outreach & Support Case Manager to determine available options. Funds are awarded as a grant, and unlike a loan, do not need to be repaid. Funds may count as income and may be subject to federal and/or state taxes.
More information about the fund can be found on the Student Outreach & Support website. For additional limited assistance funds for DACA/Undocumented students email Alfredo.Gallegos@du.edu or call 303-871-7652.
Health & Wellness
The Health and Counseling Center at the University of Denver will provide support students regardless of their status during the safer at home state mandate. Please visit the website or call 303-871-2205 for an appointment.
