Student Outreach & Support
Our Mission
Student Outreach & Support (SOS) helps students succeed by connecting them to resources, developing a plan of action to meet their goals, and navigating challenging situations. The SOS staff creates an inclusive and welcoming environment for students to develop skills in self-awareness, self-advocacy, resilience, and navigation to maximize their educational experience.
If you or a student you know is in need of support, submit an SOS referral and we will reach out within 24–48 business hours to share information about SOS and introduce students to their SOS Student Support Advisor.
Winter Break hours (11/22-12/22):
Feel free to email sos@du.edu with any questions or if you'd like to schedule an appointment with a Student Support Advisor.
Our office is located in Community Commons, Suite 3001 (3rd floor).
Support Resources
For Students
When you submit an SOS Referral, whether it's for you or someone you know, you make our community stronger. If you're having a challenge yourself, let us answer your questions that may include more information about temporary financial assistance, medical leave, health & food needs, or coping with loss.
