At the University of Denver, we have a comprehensive student support system in place. Contact Student Outreach & Support if you or someone you know are experiencing difficulty. Our student referral system makes it quick and easy to support our students.
If you're having a temporary financial hardship or setback, please contact us. We'll work with you to learn if you qualify for various financial resources. Resources include the Student Assistance Fund, emergency loans, or any other funding source. We also offer information about financial wellness and community funding for LGBTQ+ folks.
The SOS team is here to help you if you are having concerns with meeting your basic needs. We can also assist you in connecting to healthcare resources, or other supports.
If you need to take a break from school to focus on your well-being, we can talk about your options. One possible option is the Medical Leave of Absence process.
This list includes specific resources for DU students, and for the wider community. Please note that the majority of resources are within the Denver Metro area.
For distance learners: you may use resource databases such as 2-1-1 or AuntBertha.com. They can assist with finding resources in your local area. These are in the below list under “Resources Databases”.
For International students: Consult International Student and Scholar Services (ISSS) about non-DU resources. ISSS can help you to learn about and prevent any potential impacts it may have.
Contact SOS@du.edu to suggest other resources, or to report issues with the resources listed.
