Welcome, Class of 2026!
The New Student & Family Programs team is excited to welcome you to the University of Denver!
New Student Orientation, or as we call it here, Discoveries Orientation (Discoveries for short), is our introduction to the DU experience. Discoveries consists of both online and in-person content. Our online content will be available at a later date this summer. To learn more about this content, visit our Discoveries Online tab.
Our in-person Discoveries Orientation programming begins on the Tuesday of Move In and programming is ongoing until the start of classes. During this time, you can expect to learn how to be successful inside and outside of the classroom at DU, and get to know your peers!
For the 2022 Academic Year, our residential first-year students will move in on Tuesday, September 6th. Discoveries Orientation Programming will occur from September 6th to September 11th. The family send-off is currently scheduled for midday September 7th.
Discoveries Orientation will take place on Monday, January 2nd. This will be a half day program to welcome new students and families to the University of Denver. More details on what you can expect during this week coming soon via email!
New Student and Family Programs is committed to the successful transition of new students and families into the University of Denver campus community. We do this by providing inclusive, holistic, student-centered programming aimed at empowering student academic success, personal growth and meaningful connections.
