Discoveries Orientation
Discoveries Orientation takes place Friday, January 3-Sunday, January 5, 2025 and is required for all first year and transfer students at the University of Denver.
New Student Orientation, or as we call it at DU, Discoveries Orientation, is your official welcome and overview to your DU experience. Discoveries consists of both online and in-person content. Our online content will be available beginning in October. To learn more about this content, visit our Discoveries Online tab.
Our in-person Discoveries Orientation programming begins on Friday with Move-In and programming is ongoing until the start of classes. During this time, you can expect to learn how to be successful inside and outside of the classroom at DU, navigate campus, learn about valuable resources and support services while getting to know your peers!
