LEP FLYTE Orientation 2024

We're thrilled you decided to enroll in the Learning Effectiveness Program at the University of Denver!

The LEP's transition support begins with the First LEP Year Total Experience (FLYTE) for students and their families. FLYTE launches in May with our webinar and workshop series and culminates with the on-campus FLYTE Orientation Weekend.

FLYTE Orientation Weekend will take place from Sunday, September 1 to Tuesday, September 3. It includes early move-in, the opportunity to meet your LEP Academic Counselor, social events to get to know other incoming LEP students, and informational sessions for students and family members in attendance.

FLYTE Orientation Weekend

FLYTE Orientation Weekend is scheduled to take place from Sunday, September 1 to Tuesday, September 3. It will not overlap with DU's Discoveries Orientation.

More information about the specific weekend schedule will be communicated throughout the summer. Many families choose to arrive to Denver (if coming from out of state) by Saturday evening so they are ready for early move-in on Sunday morning.

Registration for FLYTE Orientation Weekend has closed as of July 8. Please email FLYTE@du.edu with questions.

FLYTE 2024 FAQ.docx (722.29 KB)

FLYTE Weekend was a game-changer for me! Not only did I find a community where everyone supports each other, but I also formed friendships that will last a lifetime. The transition to college became a breeze with the services provided, and moving in early was a bonus – no chaos, just calmness. It's not just about orientation; it's about diving into a week filled with activities, laughter, and finding your place before the rush begins. FLYTE helped me feel at home faster on campus, connecting me with fellow students and introducing me to the endless support L.E.P. offers throughout the year. If you want to start your college journey on the right foot, FLYTE is the way to go!
