Identity Based Support
The Cultural Center (TCC) at the University of Denver is committed to inclusion. TCC encourages the development of affinity groups which are open to all students. These groups are created to provide a sense of belonging to students. TCC staff support affinity groups in program design and implementation while also individually supporting students who belong to these groups. A list of current affinity groups can be found here.
If you don’t see a group that is relevant to you and you would like to start it, please contact us at TCCinfo@du.edu.
For Undergraduate Groups
Undergraduate students are able to make a Registered Student Organization through the process outlined by the Office of Student Engagement (OSE) and Undergraduate Student Government. First, check to see if there is an existing organization. If there isn’t, check out the process to create an organization.
For Graduate Groups
Graduate student organizations are often established within individual academic programs or graduate schools. Check with your program chair or deans to learn more about affinity group opportunities that exist in your graduate school. Additionally some campus-wide graduate student affinity groups and organization exist or can be established. Graduate students are able to make a Registered Student Organization through the process outlined by the Office of Student Engagement (OSE) and Graduate Student Government. If seeking to establish a campus-wide affinity group, check in with OSE to learn the requirements and start the process.
